Die Firmengeschichte der Bäckerei Düsedau in Lindhorst geht auf das Jahr 1913 zurück. Heinrich Düsedau, der Urgroßvater des vorigen Inhabers, errichtete an der Stelle des ehemaligen Gemeindebackhauses ein neues Wohn- und Geschäftsgebäude in der Lindenstraße. Der Betrieb wurde als Bäckerei und Kolonialwarenladen geführt.
Im Mittelpunkt der Betriebsausstattung stand ein einherdiger altdeutscher Backofen. Beschäftigt waren zu damaliger Zeit in der Backstube neben dem Firmengründer sein Sohn Otto und ein Geselle. Im Laden waren die beiden Ehefrauen tätig.
